What profession do you admire most and why?
I admire acting! Theater more so! I went to a school 4th -8th grade, all in one! It was called The Academy for Academics and Arts!This school was amazing! I learned how to sing in choir and in theater. We had plays such as Mr Grumpys and dance recitals. We rehearsed plays and poetry and also had a backstage crew for lights, camera, and curtain. We had to audition in front of everyone!!! I did things I could never imagine. I was shy and did not talk a lot! We always stayed busy after school, it helped us learn more than we every could imagine. I admire this school for the great things it did for the community and the diverse nature of the school. It was a mix of rich and poor and mixed black and white and a few Hispanics. It was smack in the center of the Northwood Projects! It gave every kid a dream a chance to see different and a chance to grow so that we can teach our children to be whom ever they want to be! Because we came together and did just that! To the friends and families and all the workers… I admire you!!! In memory of Mrs. Flishmen💚
