Faith’s Place Kitchen
My baby girl helped me create cinnamon rolls that taste just like churros, adding a fun twist to a classic treat. Mix cinnamon, sugar, and brown sugar for a sweet layer on the outside of the Shape them into spirals or sticks and fry them to perfection. For a savory taste, prepare a garlic butter dip by combining softened butter with minced garlic, herb seasoning, and Himalayan sea salt. This dip adds a delightful contrast to the sweetness of the rolls!
2 Cups AP Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Active Dry Yeast
1/2 tbsp Sugar
1/2 tbsp AC Vinegar
1 tbsp butter (cold)
2 tbsp of Lard
1/3 cup milk
1/8 cup water
Mix all the dry ingredients, then add the lard and butter using your hands or gloves until it feels gritty. Slowly mix in the AC vinegar, milk, and enough water until it’s not too sticky. The dough should clean the bowl. Roll out and fry in a skillet on top of the stove.
